Pumpkin Carving

The Bedwells (Brookie and Aaron) invited us over to carve pumpkins with the Dallings and Eskelsens. It was a lot of fun!! Here's Chance, the Dallings, and the Bedwells carving their pumpkins.

My wonderful husband hard at work carving his.

Ta Da...the finished product! It is Jack Skelton (in case you couldn't figure out what it was). We were at Macey's and saw that they had several white and orange pumpkins, so we decided to get a white one for the fun of it. I thought it was quite creative to carve Jack out of it.

The Bedwells, Eskelsens, Gurrs, and Dallings showing off our finished products! They all turned out really good!

Our masterpieces all lit up! They looked awesome! Thanks Bedwells for the great time!

The Past 6 Months or So...

We went to the Sunday afternoon session of General Conference in Salt Lake. It was so awesome! It was really amazing to be there the last session and hear our Prophet speak as well as so many others. We were able to go with Chance's dad-Greg, Patty, and his brother-Robbie, as well as with the Thompsons.

Patty, Robbie, Greg, Chance, and me in the UTA bus headed up to Salt Lake.

The Boys were able to go to the Priesthood Session of conference in Salt Lake as well. The girls went to the Gateway and shopped and then we all went to eat at the California Pizza Kitchen. It was a lot of fun!

My older brother, Brett got married in August to Xi'a. It was such a great wedding! I was about 8 weeks pregnant during their wedding and reception weekend and hadn't told anyone that we were expecting yet, so it was very difficult to act like I wasn't sick. I was SO sick during their wedding, but it was really awesome because during their sealing, was the first time in a few weeks that I felt wonderful. The church is true, that is all I can say about that. If you do what you are suppose to, you will be blessed.

We also went to Thanksgiving Point with the Kroffs and Squires. We went to the Gardens and Dinosaur Museum during their $2 Tuesday special. It was a lot of fun and SO pretty at the Gardens.

The Kroffs. We had to take some family pictures because it was so pretty!! (TJ was asleep in his stroller).

One of my really good friends, Aubrey Thomas, got married to Dayton Hall in August. I went to High School with both of them, so it was like a high school reunion at their wedding! It was so fun! Congratulations Aubrey and Dayton!

The Past 6 Months or So Continued....

We Went camping with Grandma Chandler and James and Melissa and their boys. It was way fun! Went over Pioneer Day weekend to the Alpine Loop area.

We also went to Lagoon! It was way fun! We were able to go with my whole family. Even my brother's fiancee came. We had a blast hanging out and getting to know one another better.

Here's Chance and I so excited to ride the first ride of the day! It always seems like we ride the old white roller coaster first no matter what.

My friends Katie and Paul Hill came up and we went to Progressive Tumbling with several of our other good friends from up here. We had the Hills, Gourdins, Bree, Thompsons, us, Amber and Cason, and Cason's friend. It was a lot of fun! :) We were so glad that the Hills were able to come up! We owe them a HUGE thanks for dinner as well! They took us to Goodwood! Thanks Katie and Paul! :)

The Thompsons and Gurrs were in charge of our wards youth conference this year. I was nervous to have to plan EVERYTHING at first, but it ended up being such an amazing experience and we grew so close to the youth in our ward! They are awesome! After much planning, we finally all agreed on doing the theme MASH, which stood for Modern Armies Serving Heaven. The Sunday before youth conference, we went to each youth's house and "drafted" them into the MASH army. We gave them a draft letter instructing them on what to bring and when they would need to report for duty, and we also gave them their MASH shirts. Here are the awesome leaders posing at the Albach's house just after drafting their daughters.

Youth Conference was a Thursday through Saturday at Strawberry Pinacles. It was a really pretty area to have it and worked perfect for our MASH themed youth conference. On Thursday, we had a guest speaker come and talk to the youth on how to be a good example and serve others.

On Friday morning we had breakfast (here were our pancakes made specially for the leaders by brother Winterton), but not until AFTER we woke the youth up at 6:30 that morning for drills. We ran a couple laps and did jumping jacks and other army drills. Then they ate and we got ready for our army obstacle course. We had several courses that they had to accomplish in their teams. We had a team A and team B. They did really good in their teams and after each obstacle the winning team was given a clue. The clues were a scripture that we used as the theme for youth conference and after the obstacles we gave them all dog tags and had a small thought moment. Then we had a 25 foot long slip and slide and played on that. Then we ate lunch and had free time to go and tube down the river, play in the water, or play on the rope swing.

Friday night we had skits then a small fireside. The next morning. We woke the youth up at 4:45am and we hiked up to one of the pinacles and got up there just in time for the sunrise and gave them all letters from their parents that they had written prior to youth conference. Then we had our testimony meeting! I thought this was the most memorable thing about youth conference! It was amazing! We had such a great time at youth conference and LOVED being the leaders!
